Meet our speakers: David Theodore
Blockchain Boot Camp is today! Get up to speed on bitcoins, blockchains, cryptocurrency, smart contracts, and more. This intense one-day seminar will feature leaders in the industry providing in-depth analysis and strategies around security, legalities, and the financial opportunities available in this fast-growing marketplace.
David Theodore will be speaking at the Boot Camp on critical aspects of blockchain technology regarding security and private keys. Theodore is a cybersecurity engineer and president of Trusted Ledger Solutions. His interest in applications like cryptocurrency began when he was young and led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington. As a cybersecurity engineer, his experience and training provide foundational expertise for the implementation of blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT).
Theodore brings a unique and in-depth expertise to the Blockchain Boot Camp. His experience with embedded systems and cryptography, especially in distributed networks, includes implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform using internal circuits (ICs) ranging from 8-bit microcontrollers to 64-bit ARM devices. His pioneering work also includes a demonstration of the delivery of cryptography (approved by the National Institute of Standards and Technology) on specialized hardware, such as ultra-low power devices and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). Theodore’s work with defense contractors delves deep into cybersecurity, involving the relationships between the changing cryptocurrency, blockchain, and DLT fields, and the associated risks.
Theodore will be discussing the wide array of security implications of blockchain technology, including risk mitigation. His understanding of cybersecurity, especially involving cryptocurrencies, will be essential to building a foundation for using blockchain for security as a core advantage of DLT.
